ART SORB – Passive climate control (40–70% RH)

ART SORB is a relative humidity control material developed by Fuji Silysia Chemical, based on high-purity silica gel.
It has a high capacity for absorbing and releasing water, acting effectively across a wide range of humidity levels, from low to high, to maintain a stable microclimate that protects works of art, documents, and historical artifacts from environmental variations.

Thanks to its rapid response to changes in temperature and humidity, the ART SORB line minimizes the effects of climatic fluctuations. Its low hysteresis allows it to react to even the most subtle changes, maintaining relative humidity within the range of 40–70%, depending on conservation needs.
