MELINEX® POLYESTER

Melinex® is a technical material developed for archives, museums, and libraries, where maximum chemical and physical stability is required.
It is manufactured from acid-free and plasticizer-free thermoplastic polyester (PET), with a luminosity superior to glass and high tensile strength.

Complies with international standards ISO 18916 (Photographic Activity Test – PAT) and ASTM D2043 (Silver Tarnish Test), which certify its compatibility with photographs, negatives, prints, and oxidation-sensitive materials.

Thanks to its transparency and resistance, it is widely used in the manufacture of covers, pages, and protective sheets for documents, photographs, drawings, manuscripts, maps, posters, and comics, offering long-lasting physical and chemical protection.
