Methylcellulose CULMINAL MC 2000
Culminal® methylcellulose derivatives are cellulose ethers which, when dissolved in water, provide a wide range of functional properties. They are presented in granular powder form and are used as thickening agents, protective colloids, stabilizers, suspending agents and water retaining agents in numerous technical and industrial applications.
Culminal® dissolves readily in cold water, but is not soluble in hot water. It is a nonionic polymer, compatible with many surfactants and other natural polymers such as starch, guar gum and alginates.

In a 2% solution in water, Culminal® behaves as an excellent adhesive and consolidating agent, offering firm adhesion and optimum flatness after pressing. At this ratio, no surface sheen is observed, which makes it particularly suitable for treatments on paper or sensitive substrates where a matt and homogeneous finish is required.
